THE WORLD’S BIGGEST FILM MUSIC SHOW COMES TO ESTONIA!
The world’s most awarded film music composer, Hans Zimmer’s unique concert performance “The World of Hans Zimmer – A New Dimension,” will be brought to the Baltic countries through Baltic Music Group. In Tallinn, this powerful concert can be seen on October 28, 2024, at the Unibet Arena; in Riga, on October 27, at Arēna Rīga; and in Vilnius, on October 26, at the Aviations Group Arena.
Hans Zimmer is considered a virtuoso of world film music, and his work has become an iconic part of many well-known films. Zimmer is famous for his unique style, and his music is emotional and engaging. Powerful, beautiful, dramatic, breathtaking, moving – this is how the beloved maestro’s music has been described.
The grand show “The World of Hans Zimmer – A New Dimension” offers the chance to experience the film music composer Hans Zimmer’s unique music in a completely new key. The concert premiering on this tour around the world, including Estonia, will be truly powerful, taking the audience on an extraordinary musical journey with over a hundred artists on stage: a choir, orchestra, and a band consisting of ten top musicians.
As part of the show elements, scenes from films will be displayed on video screens the size of the entire stage wall, making the experience special by blending film art and Hans Zimmer’s exceptional music into a wonderful whole. On stage, there will be an army of the composer’s friends, including several musicians who participated in the recording of music for films that used Zimmer’s work. Hans Zimmer himself will not be seen on stage; he participates in the performance in the role of curator and musical director.
“The World of Hans Zimmer” is the only production of Zimmer’s music in the world that was created and is directed by Hans Zimmer himself. All arrangements for the choir, orchestra, and band performances have been created by the maestro himself. The subtitle of the new grand concert, “A New Dimension,” indicates that Hans Zimmer makes a completely new selection from his extremely diverse collection of scores for “The World of Hans Zimmer – A New Dimension.”
Hans Zimmer has created music for more than 500 projects, which have brought in over 28 billion dollars at the global box office. Zimmer has been recognized with two Academy Awards, three Golden Globes, four Grammys, an American Music Award, and a Tony Award for his outstanding work. His portfolio includes famous works such as “Dune,” the James Bond classic “No Time To Die,” “Interstellar,” “Mission Impossible,” “Gladiator,” “The Thin Red Line,” “The Last Samurai,” “12 Years a Slave,” “Blade Runner 2049” (with Benjamin Wallfisch), and “Dunkirk,” as well as recent scores for “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Wonder Woman 1984,” and many more. Recently, Hans Zimmer won an Oscar for best film music for “Dune.” In 2019, Zimmer created the music for the live-action remake of “The Lion King,” for which he received a Grammy nomination for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media.
